photo shares

Hi everyone i trust you have recovered from all the Christmas celebrations. Its NYE and i thought id leave you with a couple of photos from the past week. Larsen is growing like a weed we had him weighed yesterday and he is 4.230 kgs (almost at Addisons birth weight) he is 4 weeks today. He is tracking things with his eyes and i have had one smile (which melted my heart) Addison has been so good with him he says "thats Larsen "all day long and wants to give him toys. David is still home and spending heaps of time with Addison which has been a big help to me.
These photos of Larsen were taken about a week ago they are just precious. The up close one is my favourite so far and the one where he is stretching is just after i have un wrapped him from his nap.

These photo s of Addison were taken yesterday ...... how to keep a two year old busy for an hour. He carried his empty pool around the back yard hiding under it then walking with it over his head for over an hour. LOL next time I might even put some water in it for him LOL
Well best go enjoy your NYE and see you in 2009.

Christmas photos

Well we survived Christmas without too mant dramas !
Christmas morning found Addiosn anxious to open the presents under the tree he was eager to open all of them thinking of course they were all his. Both he and Larsen were very lucky Santa was very kind to both, below are a couple of gift opening photos, not the best but thats all i got.
We spent the day at David's brothers house on the Gold coast, Addison had a ball playing with their dog Kelly in the end Kelly was a bit scared of Addison as he literally would not leave her alone.
We ate too much as usual and David drank too much as usual LOL so i ended up having to drive home with everyone else asleep in the car. I love christmas time its such a great time to be with family but now we can try to get back to our normal routine, if thats possible as Larsen is starting to have a few issues with going to sleep.
Hope you all had a great day your selves and i look forward to scrapping some more photos of the kids asap

layout shares

Good afternoon, as promised ive got some layouts of Larsen to share. I finished two layouts yesterday, they are fairly simple - thats all i have time for these days but i am pleased with them. the first one documents Larsens sleepy ness during the first weeks and the second one well speaks for it self i am now out numbered LOL.

We took Addison to his favourite indoor play centre this morning he had a blast as usual but his fav thing to do is to dive in the balls.

Can you believe Larsen is 3 weeks tomorrow time has flown by, tomorrow is chrissy eve so if i dont get back on everyone have a great christmas and i hope Santa is good to you.

cheers

beautiful bubba

Hi all its coming up so close to Christmas, only 3 sleeps to go, Addison is still unsure of what is happening, he knows that Santa is coming but is not really sure of what that means. He has been so good with the presents under the tree hasnt tried to touch them yet.
I spent some time today taking various photos of little Larsen although, he is not so little any more his 0000 clothing is almost too small fof him.

I also started another layout which i hope to finish tonight and will show soon, these beautiful photos are just begging me to scrap them just need to find the time.

Dont you just love bubba feet.

First Larsen layout

Good evening all, well ive done it! I finished my first layout for Larsen, im pretty happy with it although it took me two attempts to do it as i was too tired the first time, its basically the very first picture taken of him when he was placed in my arms at birth. Hope you like it. Ive actually finished another one of him as well but im saving that to use for my next scraploot blog update. Ive also addded some photos taken of Addison today he is absolutely obsessed with water and his water tray, he asks to play with it every day.

This layout i finished just before Larsen was born, Addison loves the rainbows that appear around the house at various times of the day, this was made using a hambly transparency, I then attached the coloured papers and cardstock by sewing with my machine.
Ive taken some beautiful photos of David and Larsen and Larsen asleep so ill be back soon with another update. Can you believe he is two and a bit weeks old already.
take care
Kim
ps A good friend of mine Kirsty had her bub Kayden last night, he is in the special care nursery so im sending her my congratulations and best wishes !

Larsen Allen

Hi all
WE welcomed our latest bundle of joy on 3rd Dec . Larsen Allen was born at 5 14 pm after me being induced at around 2pm ( a very short labour) he was 3.186 kgs and 51cm long. Although the labour was short it was quite PAINFUL as the epidural only worked on one side, eventually the called the dr back into to give me another one as he took it out i said to the midwife i can feel a bit of pressure she looked and there was his head i was 8cm dilated. She went into a tizz as it was a bit unexpected, called my Ob, he literally arrived just in time , two pushes and Larsen was out( unlike Addison where i pushed for an hour and a half), no tears no cuts it was so easy. He fed straight away and David and i were so happy. David actually saw the whole thing he saw the head come out and i looked up to see the rest come out, it was truly amazing.

He is just over a week old and doing well. Addison has been very good with him so far although he is still sleeping lots, we had him weighed and has put on 200 grams since leaving the hospital. I hope to get some scrapping done soon of him trying to take advanatge of David being on holidays. Hope you enjoy these photos will be back soon with some more

more fun shares

Good evening all,
Here are my newest layouts for the scraploot. blog , as Heidi Swapp will be opening the store I decided to show case some of her products. I hope you enjoy.

You amaze me, I made this layout the other day when Addison who has just turned two counted backwards from5 to 0. He is like a sponge, he soaks up everything he hears and sees.

Love notes, Addison just adores little Ella from playgroup, here they were giving each other a kiss and a hug.

Pregnancy number 2, this photo was taken about 2 weeks ago when i was 34 weeks, im off to the dr tomorrow for my 37 week check up, hope all is well.

On Saturday we started and finished our Xmas shopping and today i wrapped them all, it feels good to have that task out of the road.

Just finished watching IDOL and am so glad Wes one he has been our favourite from the beginning.

thanks for stopping by have a great week.

layouts at last

Hi there everyone. At last i have some layouts to share with you, as i said in my previous post i have been busy with my Dt projects for scraploot, now they are finished i am completing some personal layouts. I would like to get another 5 done ASAP before this baby comes.

The first one tells where Addison is at the moment. "Addison do it" is all we hear , this can be frustrating as all you mums of toddlers know there are some things he just cant do ( change his nappy for one LOL )

The second layout highlights Addison's obsession with fixing things that get broken, he can sit for ages trying to put things back together.

The last layout i finished a while ago and it is about Addison's 2nd birthday, i love the MM bling paper, its so hard to add some bling to boys layouts but when ever i get the chance i do.

Dont forget to check out the scraploot. blog on Sunday as i will be updating it with some new ideas. I am so jealous that i cant be there for the opening of the new shop or to meet Heidi Swapp, if you are from Sydney hop on the website and get yourself a ticket , it will be a blast.

Im off to bed, the heat up here is really affecting me this pregnancy. We have had so much rain over the last couple of days the humidity is just awful. My thoughts go out to those who have lost their houses and possessions in the storm on Sunday night, now is a time to count your blessings.

Till next time

lucky me

I had the most lovely surprise on Friday night, my friends from playgroup who i have only known for about 2 months surprised with an early birthday dinner. I was going out to dinner with one friend but when we arrived at the restarant there were 5 of my other close friends waiting to celebrate. Even though my birthday isnt untill the end of this week they wanted to get in early in case the bub comes early, they gave me a beautiful necklace which you will see below and we had a fantastic time laughing and enyoying the food -the rustic olive in redcliffe i would recommend it to any one the best risotto ive ever had. Even though i have only known these girls a short time we have become great friends i think because we are all new to the area and have such common interests our children and looking for a bit of a social outlet for ourselves. Enjoy the photos below.

On the scrapping front i have been working like a demon the last 3 or 4 days getting my DT projects finished be fore the bub arrrives. Im a person who needs to be organised so i have finished not only my December projects but also my January ones too. I have also finished some layouts i had to do for the scraploot blog which will be updated by me on Sunday. Now i hope to get to some personal scrapping and will share these with you as soon as i am finished, Have a great day

The sandpit

Hi all, well today my dad and my husband David built Addison his very own sand pit. My dad got the wood and made some brackets to hold it together. When my mum and dad arrived ,Dad and David took Addison off to Bunnings to buy the sand and a cover. While us girls enjoyed our tupperware party the men (including Addison) slaved away building, drilling and screwing the sandpit together, it was so interesting to see David drilling under the watchful eye of my dad, as he works with computers all day. They did a great job.

Addison had a little play too.

I enjoyed my tupperware party it was nice to have a few friends from playgroup , my neighbour and my mum and my sister, although its been hard moving interstate im slowly developing a small group of friends.

Off now to let my husband now the damage from from the Tupperware party LOL

Design team layouts

Hi all, the November DT layouts have gone up in the scraploot. gallery. This month I had to complete my layouts using sketches, this took me out of my comfort zone as i rarely use them , but I must say it wasnt that bad. I got to play with the new basic grey sultry line of papers, here are my layouts and be sure to head on over to the gallery to check out the other gorgeous pages from the girls.
This photo was taken when i was 28 weeks, just love it.

Addison, loves being involved with the activities now he especailly loves the bubbles and constantly reminds me of them when i say we are going to physifun.

How cute are these two !

There are lots of things to be thankful for , these are my favourites.

Thanks for taking a peek , ill be back soon with some photos taken today at my parents, Addison is such a lark.

scraploot blog

Good evening, i just finished posting my blog update over at scraploot .Each week a member of the DT shows off a technique that they like to use in their scrapbooking, I decided to talk about the colour wheel and in particular complementary colours.
these are my layouts i created for the blog

Good looking Coit is a term of indearment David my husband calls Addison's backside, however Addison can only say "Looking Coit".

Addison is obssessed with keys, he goes around the house trying every hole, crack or button trying to fit the keys in.

Head on over to the scraploot blog to check out the rest of my technique post.

Will be back shortly with some more news

boys and dirt

What is it with boys and dirt, this is Addisons new thing "diggin the dirt" as he likes to call it, the dirt usually ends up all over him the lawn and yesterday the porch which i have put a stop too!
he just loves being out there moving the dirt around from one place to another either by hand, bucket or spade, My husband loves it thinks he is a real boy Now LOL but me mmmmm i keep thinking of the white walls and green lounge inside (chuckle chuckle)

till next time

birthday party

Hi all, well we had Addisons 2nd birthday party today, although the weather was pretty terrible it didnt seem to dampen any ones spirits, the day started with David, Chris my brother in law and Addison putting together his playhouse they did a pretty good job.

Addison loved his presents especially his cars he got from uncle steve and mummy and daddy, Roary the racing car was a big hit, we enjoyed a bbq lunch then Addison got to blow out his candles on his car cake which i had made and decorated yesterday, he was so excited he wanted to do it twice, we had a great day thank you to my mum and dad, Sharon (my sisiter) Chris, Hayley and Ryan and Steve David s brother for a lovely day.

ps i cant wait to scrap the photos Hayley my niece did a great job with the photography.
